Diane Seda

Diane is a passionate Bioengineer from Zurich with a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and a specialization in cell cultivation. With a strong background in project management, she has led and coordinated various research projects, including those on sailing research vessels in northern regions. She combines her scientific expertise with her love for the ocean. Diane holds a Yachtmaster Offshore certification and, through years of skippering sailing vessels and teaching Swiss offshore sailing theory, she leverages her maritime skills to facilitate efficient and safe field research.
Quirin Grossmann

Quirin is currently completing his doctoral studies in process engineering at ETH Zurich, with a specialization in carbon capture technologies. His research focuses on developing and characterizing materials that capture CO2 from the atmosphere. Between his master's degree and doctoral studies, Quirin gained valuable leadership experience as a skipper for a German sailing company, where he led flotillas of up to six boats and managed the recruitment, training, and support of international skippers. He holds the Yachtmaster Offshore (RYA) certification and works part-time as a sailing instructor at ASVZ. Combining his expertise in research and his passion for sailing he can organize and facilitate efficient and safe research field trips, providing valuable support to researchers and teams.
